WordPress Accessibility Audit
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is now mandatory. Does your website comply? Find out before a penalty tells you.
Why should your website be accessible?
The European Accessibility Act has been mandatory since June 2025. Fines range from €20,000 to €100,000. The required standard is WCAG 2.1 level AA, and 95% of WordPress websites in Spain don't comply. Beyond the law, an accessible website reaches more users, improves SEO and demonstrates social responsibility.

Frequently asked questions
What is the European Accessibility Act (EAA)?
It is EU Directive 2019/882, mandatory since 28 June 2025. It requires digital products and services to meet accessibility standards. In Spain it is transposed through Royal Decree 193/2023.
Does my website need to comply with the EAA?
If you sell products or services online (e-commerce, banking, transport, telecommunications...), yes. Public sector websites have been required since 2018. Consult with your legal advisor if you have doubts about your specific case.
What are the penalties for non-compliance?
Fines range from €20,000 to €100,000 depending on severity and repeat offences. Beyond the financial risk, there is significant reputational damage.
What is WCAG 2.1 AA?
These are the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the international standard. Level AA is required by law and includes 50 criteria covering four principles: perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
Is the automated audit enough?
Automated tools detect approximately 30% of accessibility issues. To truly comply with WCAG 2.1 AA, a manual review is needed. The free audit gives you a starting point to know where you stand.
Can I fix the problems myself?
Yes, the report explains what to fix and how. If you'd rather I do it, I'll provide a separate quote. The fixes include semantic HTML, ARIA, contrast, forms and keyboard navigation — it's technical work that fits with what I do.
